Why have'nt the UK insurance laws been updated for so long. Would'nt this help in reducing the amount of complaints to the Financial Ombudsman which the majority are up held in the favour of the insured

The whole financial services regulation needs cleaning up, to be honest. Put everything in the basket of the FSA to make things easier, instead of spreading it out across multiple bodies.
