Zimbabwean case is quite unfortunate. Central bank can not act on its own and subject to political pressure. Uncontrolled money emissions are ruining economy and as Prof. Hanke proposes it will be better for Zimbabwe to introduce new exchange rate regime, such as currency board.

They already have hyperinflation. Current pre-election campaign is going on and this makes the situation even more complicated...
