Liverpool Victoria Home Insurance Review

Liverpool Victoria Home Insurance

Liverpool Victoria Home Insurance

Liverpool Victoria is one of the UK’s oldest mutual insurance societies. They provide a wide range of financial products, from savings, insurance and investments.

Their Home Insurance offers the following benefits:

- Optional level of contents cover
- Standard £1 million limit for cover of buildings
- Up to £500 money and cards automatically covered away from home
- 24-hour claim line with UK only call-centres
- 10% additional cover on the content sum insured for your Christmas gifts between the period of 15th December to 15th January
- Additional discount if more than one policy is purchased within the household
- Online discount for new policies

Liverpool Victoria Customer Experiences

As with all insurance companies, there are always complaints.

Liverpool Victoria claim to be cheap, which may be true in more than one sense of the word.

A number of LV customers complain that the low price brings with it a low level of customer care satisfaction, and delays to their claims that can last as long as 12 months.

This can leave customers with the impression that their claim is not being taken seriously or that they are not valued highly by the company.

Another issue seems to be with convincing Liverpool Victoria that your problem is valid and falls within the terms of your policy. Some customers report of having to phone the company several times before they are convinced to process the claim.

Overall Review of Liverpool Victoria Home Insurance

Liverpool Victoria offers a competitive price on their home insurance policy. They also offer a wide range of benefits when you sign up to the policy.

However, while LV competes on price points, the danger is that this comes at the expense of good customer care.

If it’s budget home insurance you’re after, then LV certain competes with the best in terms of price. The question is, which is more important, the level of service or the cost of the policy?
