House prices slip 0.4%

Hometrack recorded a 0.4% fall in house prices across England and Wales in September, as buyer demand slid by 2.9%. The average amount of time needed to sell a property increased to 9.3 weeks, up from 8.9 weeks in August. Asking prices rise in April

House sellers increased the average asking price for a home by 2.6%, or £5,898, in the month to the 10th April, to £235,512.
