Hardship Fund helps recession-hit charities

The government has launched a new fund to help struggling voluntary organisations through the recession. Any UK charity that offers services to vulnerable and disadvantaged people can now apply for a grant of up to £250,000 from the £16.7 million Hardship Fund.
