Yorkshire's new bonds pay up to 4.6%

Yorkshire Building Society has announced a new range of fixed-rate bonds paying interest at up to 4.6% gross/AER.

Customers can choose between two year, three year and five year options.

Interest is paid at 3.56% on the two year bond, 4.11% on the three year bond, and 4.6% on the five year bond.

Savers can apply for the bonds from 11 July, and accounts can be opened with a minimum balance of £100.

The building society said the bonds offer something for everybody.

“With their low minimum investment and choice of fixed rate terms, we believe these new products offer something for all savers who want access to some of the best savings rates currently available,” said Sarah Lawrence, Yorkshire spokesperson.

Recently the Post Office launched a new Reward Saver account paying interest at 2.5% AER variable.
