Free online debt management advice
by David Masters
With the average British household debt rising by £6.30 every day, Fairinvestment.co.uk is urging people to make sorting out their finances a priority.
The price comparison website offers a free debt management service, which it claims could help people who have made a New Year’s resolution to get out of debt.
According to the site, the debt management service involves filling in ‘one simple form’, then speaking to an expert adviser.
Recent research by GoCompare.com found that getting out of debt tops the list of Brits’ New Years resolutions. Debt management charity CreditAction estimates that the average household debt in the UK totals almost £60,000, including mortgages.
Sharon Bratley, chartered financial planner at Fairinvestment.co.uk, said the New Year is a ‘great time’ for people to start sorting out their finances following the Christmas spending binge.
She added that the sooner people face up to their debts, the better.
